Feature Introduction and Notes
The Resource Search feature allows content authors to categorize and aggregate multiple resources via Basic Pages into a single view that is easily filterable and searchable by your public audiences.
Below are the rules around and steps to implement the Resource Search feature on a Colorado.gov website. We consider this version our minimum marketable feature, and expect more enhancements to come in 2023 so please share any feedback with us here.

Resource Search Implementation Steps
The Entity will email partnersupport@www.colorado.gov requesting the feature with the following details:
- The four Resource Term titles i.e., the word(s) of the four different categories of search filters.
- The complete list of terms that should be assigned i.e., filterable by the end user, to each of the four categories.
- When planning how to map this out on a site, please keep in mind that:
- Only one term (i.e., filter option) can be associated with each resource term (i.e., category) for a given piece of content. In other words, the same page cannot be associated with two different terms under the same category. Only one term can be assigned to each category for any given page, and every page has four categories that it can be associated with.
- All four categories must be used for this to work as we can’t hide unused sections.
- This will only work with Basic Pages because resource terms can be assigned to only basic pages; Landing Pages and other content types cannot be assigned resource terms.
To recap, please send a complete list of each category name (a total of four) and a list of terms that should be listed under each category (unlimited). Of course, let us know the URL for the site these terms are being added to e.g., stateagency.colorado.gov, townofco.colorado.gov, etc.
Once we set up the categories and the terms that go with each category, then it will be up to you and your team to edit your existing Basic Pages (or create new Basic Pages) and assign the terms to each page.
